The Hop Pole - saved from private development by the people, for the people
The Limpley Stoke Community Benefit Society Limited is a not-for-profit organisation owned and run by the community. As local residents we share the strong sense of community in the village, and already have the support of the majority of households.
Aligned with local and national planning guidelines, our team has a proven track record of running a successful community enterprise, demonstrated by The Galleries Shop & Café in the neighbouring village of Freshford.
Limpley Stoke Village
With its origins dating back to a settlement from Saxon times, the modern village of Limpley Stoke lies on the edge of Bath in the beautiful Limpley Stoke Valley; itself part of the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The village today is home to a vibrant community with people of all ages participating in activities ranging from cycling clubs to sustainability initiatives.
Hop Pole Inn
The Hop Pole Inn is the first project being undertaken by the Limpley Stoke Community Benefit Society.
