Reopened

Community

The Hop Pole Inn has reopened its doors not only to neighbours who want to pop in for a pint and socialise but also for families with children, walkers with dogs, cyclists and anyone who loves a traditional community welcome.

Heritage

From its origins as an inn dating back to 1550s to its role in the movie The "Remains of the Day" with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson, the Grade II listed building is packed with unique character and history.

“When I came to the village as a stranger 7 years ago it was the pub and its welcome which helped give me roots”

Future

Thanks to your help The Hop Pole Inn has reopened – not as a relic of a bygone era – but as a thriving hub that’s fit for 21st century village life. As a successful business and employer, as a unique venue for group events and activities, and as a place that can deliver local services. A place that’s open to new ideas.

More than 150 pubs across the country are now being run by their communities and we're excited to be part of that growing trend.

Share the love

Whether you're a local resident, a village visitor or just a fan of proper British pubs, please buy a share to support this outstanding building for generations to come.
